Millions of Muslims across the world have commenced the holy month of Ramadan on April 13 in which they pray, fast and abstain from certain activities.

Many Nigerians have taken to social media to mark the beginning of Ramadan Kareem and celebrities were not left out.

Billionaire daughter and singer, DJ Cuppy, who is currently in the United Kingdom, shared a photo of herself dressed in a lovely abaya as she sent out wishes to her Muslim fans.

Nollywood actress and businesswoman, Mercy Aigbe, also took to her page to share a post in honour of the holy month.

She wrote:

"As today marks the beginning of of the holy month of Ramadan, may your ibadah be accepted by almighty ALLAH and May his blessings and mercies continue to abide with you and every member of your household RAMADAN KAREEM to all my Muslim Fans, brothers,sisters and loved ones."
