Buhari Sends Ramadan Message to Nigerians, Asks Muslims to Reject Voices of Division

Don't allow anybody to deceive you about the country - This is the message of President Muhammadu Buhari to Muslims as Ramadan commences.

The president equally asked Nigerians to exercise patience and tolerance and reject voices that seek to divide the nation.

Buhari made the call in a statement made available to journalists by his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu on social media.

Going further, Buhari encouraged Nigerians to have sympathy for the poor and the Internally Displaced Persons.

The president also prayed to Allah to accept our sacrifices and increase the unity, solidarity, peace and prosperity of the nation.

The statement read in part:

“He urged Muslims in the country to exercise patience and tolerance and reject voices that seek to divide the nation.
“He also urged all citizens to show compassion to the millions of the less endowed and remember those that have been displaced by conflict in their charity and prayers in this important period.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu said he believed that there were attempts to sabotage the presidency of Muhammadu Buhari.

The lawmaker who represents Abia North in the National Assembly made the statement during an interview with Channels TV on Monday, April 12.

He said the security challenges in-country would be checked with close collaboration between the federal government and governors.

Legit.ng had also reported the administration of Buhari came on the mantra of change but years along the line, many Nigerians are unhappy with some factors about the president's government.
