Fans Pray For Toyin Abraham as She Returns to Place of Birth to Give Villagers Free Cinema Experience

Popular Nigerian movie star, Toyin Abraham, is no doubt much loved by a number of people and it is not hard to see why. Just recently, she shared a video of one of her philanthropic acts on social media.

The actress alongside filmmaker, Niyi Akinmolayan, visited the village of Alata in Ibadan to make the villagers happy with their kind gesture.

The village served as the main location for The Prophetess movie and the lead actress and filmmaker decided to reward the people in the community.

They did this by taking the cinema to them. The villagers were able to watch The Prophetess movie for free. That was not all; drinks and other refreshments were also provided for them.

Toyin Abraham explained that she grew up in Alata and some of the villagers also confirmed it. According to her, the village accepted them wholeheartedly during the filming of the movie and they felt it was only right for them to also get a chance to view it.

Niyi Akinmolayan also gifted the church used in the movie N100,000 while Toyin Abraham promised to also give the villagers a token.

“I joined my brother @niyi_akinmolayan on a trip back to the village I grew up...which also happens to be the location of the movie #prophetess. It was so good to see the joy in them when they saw their village and families on screen. We also blessed them with gifts and money. I can’t wait to do more with the support of my God and ToyinTitans.”

In other news relating to Toyin Abraham and The Prophetess movie, Legit.ng earlier reported that the movie director, Niyi Akinmolayan, disclosed that the actress 'entered into the spirit' while filming.

Twitter user, Danny Boy, took to his account to comment on the actress' performance in The Prophetess, which he described as 'stupendous'.

The director of the film, Niyi Akinmolayan then responded to the post, revealing that Abraham who played the titular role, had once 'entered the spirit' during a rehearsal, making the crew wait for an hour.
