Former Super Eagles and Manchester United Star Odion Ighalo Spotted Wearing Very Expensive Socks

- Odion Ighalo remains one of Nigeria’s richest footballers having made a huge fortune from the game

- The former Manchester United striker currently plays for Saudi Arabian outfit Al Shabab

- Ighalo was seen wearing a pair of socks reportedly worth 100 euros (about N55,000)

Former Super Eagles star and Al Shabab of Saudi Arabia striker Odion Ighalo was spotted with a pair of very expensive socks as he relaxes at an airport lobby.

The ex-international, in January, left Premier League giants Manchester United due to lack of active playing time, moving to the Saudi outfit on a permanent deal.

He signed a two and a half year deal with them with an option of him increasing the deal subsequently.

Ighalo was paid N60 million (£130,000) per week during his loan spell with the Red Devils, meaning the 31-year-old striker earned N244 million (£520,000) in six months and a total of N1.4 billion (£2.98m) as salary.

So he has enough money to live a life of luxury, and eagle-eyed journalist Oma Akatugba spotted the star wearing a pair of socks worth 100 euros (about N55,000).

Super Sand Eagles legend Abu Azeez replied:

"Him go get the ones wey cost pass that one sef."

Another fan wrote:

"He's in his prime. He won't be spending that much on socks when he's 60. Even if he does, he'll have fewer then."

A third added:

"Inside life socks that can pay 2 person Salary in Nigeria 25-25k. Money sweet ooo."

Meanwhile, Ighalo was recently seen in a video enjoying a sumptuous Nigerian meal at his base in Saudi Arabia.

The forward who seems to be enjoying life in the middle-east country was spotted eating one of Nigeria's special delicacies - Amala, Gbegiri, and Ewedu in his home over there.

Social media influencer Tunde Ednut shared the video clip of the former EPL star having a feel of home in his base station.

Ighalo is known for enjoying life when he is not on the field of play as he spent time at the beach shortly after leaving United a few months back.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho was on target twice for Leicester City in their 3-2 Premier League defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium.

The 24-year-old has now scored six goals in his last five EPL games for the Foxes while his tally in all competitions so far stands at 14 goals and five assists.

Iheanacho grabbed his first goal of the game in the 70th minute through a stunning shot from the edge of the 18-yard box.
