The governor made the comment while responding to the anchor of a political programme on Channels Television monitored by Legit.ng on Sunday, April 11.
His words:
“I have said it time and time again: I am in PDP and I don't have any reason to leave.”

Meanwhile, there are rumours that Governor Ikpeazu's colleague in Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle, is set to dump the PDP for the APC.
A former governor of Zamfara state, Senator Ahmed Sani Yarima, had last year declared that plans are ongoing for Matawalle to join APC.
Recent media reports suggest all is now set for the governor to join the ruling party after chieftains of the APC visited him recently in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital.
In a related development, there are reports that Matawalle's race to secure the governorship ticket of the APC is already causing ripples in the Zamfara state chapter of the party.
The state executive of the APC insists that they are in the dark about the planned defection of Governor Matawalle from the PDP.
Political analysts say the stance of the party leadership of the state suggests many of the APC chieftains in Zamfara are opposed to the governor joining the party.
