He assured the decampees of their rightful place in the party and urged them to work assiduously for the victory of the party.
Speaking earlier at the rally, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa said the PDP leaders and members in Isoko North have made him proud.
The governor stated that he was impressed with the crowd at the various rallies organised ahead of the election, stressing that it has put fear in the hearts of the opposition.
His words:
“Isoko North PDP leaders have made me proud and I am glad because the outcome of the election will be outstanding.”
He promised to construct an accident and emergency centre and provide an ambulance for General Hospital Ozoro which is under the constituency.
The governor also assured the people of the prompt completion of the Ozoro Modern Market, also under the constituency.
Director-General of the PDP Campaign Council, Hon. Oviemuno Oghoore assured the governor of total support from the people because of the upgrade of Ozoro Polytechnic to a full-fledged University.
Chairman Isoko North PDP, Prince Godwin Ogorugba said the party was united ahead of the Saturday, April 10 by-election, assuring that the party would win massively.
Governor Okowa had earlier stated that the PDP was being repositioned from the grassroots to the national level to enable the party to provide the needed leadership that Nigerians have been yearning for come 2023.
He made the comment on Wednesday, 31 when the PDP flagged off its ward to ward campaign rally for the forthcoming by-election.
Recall that Governor Okowa recently declared that during the PDP tenure of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria witnessed reforms that repositioned banking, communication, and health sectors and pension matters.
According to him, such daring economic decisions paved the way for the revolution of the Nigerian economy.
