Nigerians React as Community Honour Man for His Achievement as the First Bank Manager in Their History

A man's years of hardwork in the banking sector has finally been recognized by his kinsmen and community.

The elated man named Peter Ijara took to Facebook to share that his community recently conferred him an award of honour as a Pioneer Mega Banker.

Sharing a photo from the award ceremony organized in his honour, Peter who hails from Amanato Ozuako Urualla autonomous community in Imo state vowed to not relent in his resolve to bring glories to the name of the community.

He wrote:

"When my kinsmen said weldone son!
"I promise them I will bring the name of my community to more limelight and I mean it. The award was presented by Imo State commissioner of entrepreneurship and skills acquisition."

Peter told Legit.ng - when asked about how he feels about the honour he received - that he has been in the banking area of endeavour for a period spanning 17 years (December 2004 to March 2021) and is elated to be recognized by his people.

He said he had served as branch manager and area manager for Eco bank. The seasoned banker advised youths to hold on to the virtues of hardwork, smart work, patience and perseverance.

His post was greeted with rapturous commendations from Facebook users who joined him in celebrating his historic feat and honour.
