Late actor Chadwick Boseman has won an award for outstanding performance by a leading man for his role in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.
The actor, who lost his battle with colon cancer back in August 2020, played his last role in the said film currently available on Netflix.
Boseman's widow, Taylor Simone, accepted his Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) award on his behalf on Sunday, March 4, and gave a moving speech, according to CNN.
She also gave a quote from the late actor while thanking the award show for honouring her late love.
"'If you see the world unbalanced, be a crusader that pushes heavily on the seesaw of the mind.' That's a quote from Chadwick Boseman. Thank you, Screen Actors. Thank you, Chad," she said.

Boseman's co-star in the said film, Viola Davis, also scooped an award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role at the same event.
A few months back, Netflix released footage of Boseman's last role on the Ma Rainey's Black Bottom film.
The film is based on an old Broadway Play created by August Wilson back in 1982.
Legit.ng also reported that Simone tearfully accepted Boseman's award for the same movie in the Golden Globe Awards.
Simone broke into tears as she delivered a powerful speech. At first, the strong-willed widow tried to power through the moment without shedding any tears or speaking with a shaky voice.

But it was too much, the emotions engulfed her and all she could do was honour the man she loved with the sweetest words she could think of.
