Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand believes Louis van Gaal was wrong to have sold some players during his reign at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman spent just two years in charge of the Red Devils - winning the FA Cup title before being shown the exit doors.
Just like any other manager, the 69-year-old signed some players which also led to a few others leaving the club including Danny Welbeck, who joined Arsenal for £18 million.

While the likes of Shinji Kagawa, Alexander Buttner, and Wilfried Zaha all left for a combined fee of £15m. Rafael and Javier Hernandez were also shown the exit door by Van Gaal.
The retired footballer turned pundit has now aimed a dig at the Dutchman, saying he got some of his transfer moves wrong during his FIVE YouTube podcast channel and reported by The Mirror.
"I thought we got rid of good people in Hernandez, Welbeck and Rafael. They were good United people with character.
"They wanted to play for Manchester United and knew what it meant. They wanted to win and they were part of that previous era that knew how to win.
"They could have carried that on and given it to other people. It was their turn and their chance to pass it on. But I thought Manchester United wasn’t set up in the way that they probably are today. They wouldn’t allow that to happen today."
Ferdinand's rant came a couple of days after Welbeck found the back of the net against Man United while in action for Brighton & Hove Albion - his third against them since his departure.
"Welbeck represents everything about Man United, he was hard-working and he understood what it meant to be a United player.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Rio Ferdinand has tipped Liverpool to secure a top-four finish ahead of Chelsea and Leicester.
With Man City well on course to win this season's Premier League title, attention has shifted to the top four race that could go down to the wire.
Up to five teams are currently jostling for the two other remaining slots after Man United all but confirmed a top-four finish following their weekend hard-fought win over Brighton.
