The Houston Rockets forward was raised in a family of five as he has four siblings named Jerrel, Terrel, Danuel III and Dannisha. He is married to Whitney House, a professional athlete who plays volleyball. The couple has three kids; the youngest child is named Brady after American football quarterback Tom Brady.

The year 2021 has not been an easy one for the star. On March 14, the star lost four family members in a road accident caused by a drunk driver.

The four victims are Porsha Branch, sister-in-law of the star, as well as her three children, Drake (7 months), Messiah (2), and King (5) House lost their lives after a drunk driver slammed into the back of the car.

The star attended Hightower High School in Missouri City, Texas. Danuel House stats while in high school were pretty impressive. He averaged 26.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game. In his senior season with his high school team, they managed to finish the season with an impressive record of 29 wins with only nine defeats.

He was ranked 15th in the 2012 class by ESPNU 100 and 26th overall by Scout.com. In that same year, the star was nominated for the Guy V. Lewis Award and was among the ten finalists for the award given to the best basketball player in the Greater Houston area.

In December 2017, the star signed a contract with The Phoenix Suns, a team based in Phoenix, Arizona. Danuel House contract with the team saw him split his time between Phoenix and their NBA G League, the North Arizona Suns.
