In what can be regarded as a big blow to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the recent allegation of massive corruption in the country in their administration has exposed them to criticism.
The PDP which seized on the report said Nigerians agreed with the united States on how corrupt the current administration is.
This was disclosed in an interview with the party’s national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.
According to him, rights abuses under the present APC administration is worse than the one experienced during Abacha's regime.
He said:
“In all honesty, every Nigerian knows that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari is guilty of many abuses of human rights."
He added that:
“In totality, the Buhari administration has abused rights in a propensity that even under the military, particular under General Abacha, we did not witness.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe the minority leader of the Senate, has criticised President Muhammadu Buhari over his handling of the nation’s security challenges.
The PDP's chieftain claimed during an interview on Channels TV on Wednesday, March 31, that nobody takes the president seriously, not even the service chiefs.
Abaribe noted that kidnappers struck again just a day after the president said he would no longer tolerate the criminal activities.
Legit.ng reported that President Buhari ordered the service chiefs and other security and intelligence coordinators of the nation to mark bandits, kidnappers and their sponsors and take them out.
The National Security Adviser (NSA), Major-General Babagana Monguno, disclosed this after a security meeting, chaired by the Nigerian president in the State House, Abuja.
The president also warned the security chiefs that a situation where criminals dictate the pace of security events in the country should be ended immediately, ordering them to be proactive.
