Italian giants AC Milan have reportedly opened talks with Premier League side Manchester United over the permanent transfer of Diogo Dalot to the San Siro stadium this summer.
Ole Solskjaer decided to send the Portuguese player on loan to AC Milan before the start of the season and the 22-year-old has played 24 games this term for the club.
According to the report on UK Sun, AC Milan have tabled a £12million offer to try to sign the Portuguese defender permanently.
Dalot is happy in Italy and is believed he would be open to extending his stay there at the end of the ongoing Italian League season.
With Aaron Wan-Bissaka currently performing well this term at Manchester United, it will be hard for Diogo Dalot to break into the first team if he should decide to return to Old Trafford.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Man United are interested in signing Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak but the whopping amount in his release clause is proving to be a bottleneck.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new goalkeeper as Sergio Romero is set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.
David de Gea's future at the Theatre of Dreams has also been thrown in doubt with French side Paris Saint-Germain heavily linked to the Spaniard.
It is understood De Gea is pushing for a move to the Spanish capital where his wife works as a TV reporter.
Dean Henderson is currently manning the post for United after De Gea was given a six-match leave to witness the birth of his child.
The Reds Devils have been long term admirers of Oblak as well as AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma and Lille's Mike Maignan.
However, Oblak's £103million buy-out clause has proved to be a stumbling block to get the Atelti goalie into their squad.
