Juventus are reportedly considering hiring Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane as a replacement for struggling Andrea Pirlo.

The rookie coach is currently under immense pressure as the Old Lady currently occupy third on the Italian League table with 10 points behind table-toppers Inter Milan.

They also crashed out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage - making it the second straight time such will happen.

According to SunSport quoting AS, the 2006 World Cup winner seems to have been handed a one-game ultimatum to save his job, as failure to beat rivals, Torino, next week could see him be axed.

The publication added that Juve are tilting towards Zidane as their No1 target to replace Pirlo with the Frenchman's own future in Spain in doubt.

He spent five seasons at the Allianz Stadium between 1996-2001 - winning the Serie A title twice and sources claim the Turin-based club may have already contacted Zidane about taking charge.

France are also monitoring Zizou's situation at the Santiago Bernabeu as they hope he could take over from Didier Deschamps. Discussing his future at Real, he said:

"I don't look any further than the day-to-day. I don't plan anything."

Despite rumours Pirlo could be on his way out of Juventus, club vice-president Pavel Nedved declared the manager is going nowhere any time soon. He told DAZN:

"Pirlo is and will be the coach of Juventus, that's 100 per cent certain.
"We committed to a project with Andrea, knowing that there would be difficulties. We wanted to do better than this and haven't managed to, but difficulties were predicted.
"We are very calm. We're on the path that we wanted, which we will stay on. He has everything to become a great coach."

Legit.ng earlier reported that Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo has explained that he is unperturbed about the possibility of him losing his job after Champions League exit.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates on Tuesday night, March 9, failed to progress to the next round of the Champions League as they were sent out by Porto who qualified on aggregate.

This is now the second season that Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to go far in the Champions League with Juventus since joining them from Real Madrid.
