Erling Haaland who currently plays for Borrusia Dortmund has distanced himself from comparisons with Barcelona legend Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
So far this season in European football, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe have been super impressive for their clubs most especially in the Champions League.
And these two super footballers have been tipped to take football glory from Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi who have been great for years.
For more than 10 years now, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have dominated the game of football and these two players have 11 Ballon d'Or awards between themselves.
So far this season for Borussia Dortmund, Erling Haaland has played 31 games for the German giants and has been able to registered 33 goals which is an incredible one.
According to the report on UK Sun, the Norwegian is not interested in talks about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but to face his own game with full concentration.
“I think only of myself, to improve my game every day. I don’t need to talk about Messi and Ronaldo probably the best players in history. I still need a lot to reach them.”
Haaland and his teammates at Dortmund will be facing Manchester City in the Champions League quarterfinals next month.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how former Real Madrid and Barcelona superstar Luis Figo shunned Erling Haaland from his list of top six players in the world.
The Borussia Dortmund forward has been more than impressive for his German League side this campaign - scoring 31 goals in 30 appearances across competitions.
Haaland was instrumental to his side's progress to the quarterfinal of this season's Champions League following their 5-4 aggregate win over Spanish League club Sevilla.
In spite of this gigantic stat for the young attacker, Figo still thinks he doesn't merit a spot in his list of current best players.
Other names on the 48-year-old's list include Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Luka Modric, Mohamed Salah, and Neymar.
