Nigerian Man Becomes a University Lecturer after Years of Being Cattle Herder, Shares his Story
- A Nigerian man, Adamu Dauda Garba, has said that before he gained university admission, he worked as a security man in the same institution

A Nigerian man, Adamu Dauda Garba, progressed from being a cattle rearer in his village to being a lecturer later in life.
In an interview with Daily Trust, he said his father put him in school when he was nine because education to them was a must.
During his childhood days, Adamu said he always trekked far distances to school. And at evening, he would tend to the cows.

He said:
“Even after my secondary school, l was leading the herds of cattle of my father and l enjoyed doing that because it is culture and at the same a venture that sustains the family economically."
Immediately he passed his WAEC examinations, he proceeded to the Taraba State College Education, Jalingo, and got his NCE.
After his NCE, the man worked as a security guard at the Federal University, Wukari before he finally gained admission to study sociology.
The man added that despite his academic success, he still has some cattle in his village which he is tending to. He is very grateful for the opportunity he had that got him to where he is today.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Amtai Abdullahi Ali, a former aide to the Gombe state government, showcased the venture he just went into to increase his wealth.
In a tweet on Tuesday, February 9, the man said he bought a large piece of land for his cows and will feed them within it.
Amtai added that they will soon be very expensive going by how much he has invested in taking care of them.
