More wins to come: APC, PDP congratulate Wizkid, Burna Boy on Grammy win

- Nigerian stars Wizkid, Burna Boy have received praises from the two major political parties in the country

In what will excites Nigerians, the two major political parties in Nigeria, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have congratulated singers Wizkid and Burna Boy for their success at the 63rd Grammy Awards.

In its congratulatory message, the APC said:

“We celebrate Nigeria music and Afrobeat stars Damini Ogulu @burnaboy and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun @wizkidayo on their #GrammyAwards. The best is yet to come.”

The PDP on its own part said:

“@OfficialPDPNig congratulates @Wizkid and @Burnaboy, says their #GRAMMY awards showcase the resilience of the Nigerian spirit. The duo has shown the capacity of the Generation-Next-Nigeria to take our nation to envious heights. Congratulations… More wins!”

Meanwhile, the United States Mission in Nigeria has joined millions of others in celebrating Nigerian singers, Burna Boy and Wizkid on their Grammy wins.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Burna boy won Best Global Music Album for his body of work, Twice as Tall while Wizkid on the other hand won Best music video for Brown Skin Girl with Beyoncé.

In a recent tweet, the verified account for the mission congratulated the singers on their musical achievements.

Burna Boy and Wizkid have been celebrated on social media by many Nigerians including former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku took to his Twitter account to congratulate them on their Grammy award wins.

On his part, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani pointed out the significance of Nigerians winning the Grammy awards.

Legit.ng had also reported that on March 14, 2021, top Nigerian music stars, Burna Boy and Wizkid, won their first-ever Grammy Awards and their colleague, Davido eventually reacted to the news.
