The federal government of Nigeria has also joined citizens and fans of Burna Boy and Wizkid to congratulate them on their very first Grammy win.

In a series of tweets shared by @FMICNigeria, the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, congratulated the music stars and noted that it is a well-deserved recognition.

The Minister praised their persistence in the industry and continued by saying that the awards represent a global endorsement for the Afrobeat genre of music that has propelled Nigeria's increasing dominance of the music world.
