Nigerian singers, Burna Boy and Wizkid have been celebrated on social media by many Nigerians including former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku took to his Twitter account to congratulate them on their Grammy award wins.

In two separate tweets, Atiku wrote:

"Congrats @BurnaBoy! #Grammys. I am delighted and proud as a Nigerian at Wizkid’s Grammy win. Wizkid is an epitome of the talent that abounds in Nigeria. Congrats @wizkidayo.”

On his part, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani pointed out the significance of Nigerians winning the Grammy awards.

Sani who express how proud he was of them stated that the Grammy wins have formally launched Nigerian-born artistes on the advanced global stage.
