A Nigerian man has demonstrated that nothing whatsoever can prove a stumbling block in the path of one who is determined to achieving a cause.

The man identified as Opeoluwa Adewale elatedly announced that he had just got 5 offers for his PhD program with three from institutions of international acclaim as Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Cambridge.

In the post he made on Twitter on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Opeoluwa recounted that he had in the year 2019 applied to 11 institutions for admission to run his PhD program but got rejected by them all.

He had cried and almost given up but persevered.

According to him, something had to be done differently. Opeoluwa took his rejections as opportunities for learning and took it upon himself to grow and it eventually paid off.

His tweet reads:

"Never give up!
"Two years ago I applied to 11 PhD programs and was rejected by all. I wept and wanted to give up but I chose to persevere!
"This year I got 5 PhD offers 3 from Johns Hopkins, Stanford and UoCambridge!
"I hope this motivates someone to keep pushing!"

His post got tons and tons of goodwill and congratulatory reactions. Others drew inspiration and motivation from his story.
