Manchester City on Wednesday night, March 10, bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League by beating visiting Southampton 5-2 in a tough Premier League battle.
Pep Guardiola and his wards went into this game with aggressive minds having lost their last game against Manchester United who broke their unbeaten run.
The Citizens started this match impressively and it took them only 15 minutes to score the first goal through Kevin De Bruyne who beat goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.
James Ward-Prowse restored parity for Southampton in the 25th minute via a penalty in which Ederson Moraes was unable to save.
Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan scored a goal each before the half time to give Manchester City a comfortable lead over their opponents.
