International Women’s Day is a day set aside to celebrate the strides of women across the world and empower those who are still trying to find their way up in what has constantly been described as a male-dominated world.
The first National Women’s Day was marked on February 28, 1909, in the United States after a declaration by the Socialist Party of America. However, in 1965, it was moved to March 8 and ever since the date has marked the global celebration of the event.
