An outspoken and rather controversial former senator in Kogi, Dino Melaye, has again gone critical with the administration of the state by Governor Yahaya Bello.
In a tweet on Saturday, March 6, Melaye described the state as being financially anemic under Governor Bello.
The former federal lawmaker went on to release a new song (in Yoruba) in which he claimed that the governor who was thought to be wise has suddenly forgotten his pledge to the state.
Translated into English, the lyrics of the song read:
"So small is your wisdom, you that we think is wise. Yahaya Bello, So small is your wisdom, you that we think is wise.
"Yahaya Bello, you've easily forgotten your past promise..."
Meanwhile, Bello got a lot of heat after his meeting with a former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode.
One of those who were fuming over the recent meeting was Melaye, a former senator from the same state.
Reacting to the tweet in which Fani-Kayode disclosed the meeting, Melaye blasted the governor and claimed that he is only trying to further deceive and distract the people of Kogi.
Melaye also claimed that Bello is aiming to use his presidential ambition to hide the failure of his government.

The former senator wrote on his Twitter page on Monday, February 8:
"Gov. Bello is deceiving and distracting all those who take him seriously on the phantom presidential ambition to shield attention from the colossal and unprecedented stealing and failure of his wasted years in Kogi State. At the right time we will burst his bubble."
