He stated:

“Vaccine hesitancy will have to give way to the reality because the truth about it, your excellency, is that very soon, nobody will be able to travel the world unless you produce the certificate that you have been given.
“I have not confirmed this but reliably, some countries have started putting restrictions for receiving visitors, even for exercising activities of their faith, without a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.”

The Nation reports that Mustapha noted that the vaccination will be rolled out in four phases. He appealed to Nigerians who are eligible in the first set of the deployment to make themselves available to receive the vaccine.

The PTF boss added that the vaccines have been tested and are safe for use.

A number of Nigerians have commended Buhari and Osinbajo for leading by example after they received the COVID-19 vaccine on live TV.

Some others, however, still have their doubts and have shared their varying opinions on social media.

@DrOlufunmilayo stated:

"President Buhari and Vice President Buhari have both received the Covid19 vaccination today. This is good and commendable. It shows the vaccine is safe and people can trust it."

@dunnia33 commented:

"What President Buhari and VP Osinbajo did is called leadership by example. Taking the vaccine on live TV will not only encourage Nigerians to get vaccinated, it will also boost confidence in the vaccine. They have done well."
