According to the report, the Hummer Bus somersaulted three times close to the boundary between the two northern states.

Samaila Uba Misilli, the director-general of media and information, Gombe state, was reported to have been on the bus when the incident happened.
This incident is coming a few days after 10 policemen attached to the convoy of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state sustained injuries in an accident.
The accident happened on Monday, March 1, while the governor was inspecting a 60- kilometer road project in Tafawa Balewa local government area of the state.
The Toyota Hilux conveying the police officers veered off the road around 1:30 pm and somersaulted twice after losing control as a result of the huge dust that made visibility almost impossible.
