The ailing man was shot four times in the chest during a robbery and dognapping that occurred in Hollywood at 9.40pm.

A source close to the musician told People magazine that Ryan Fischer had been critically wounded during the scuffle but seems to be getting better.

He is currently receiving medical help.

Gaga had earlier offered to pay anyone who would return her dogs Koji and Gustav safely.

The Always Remember us This Way singer was in Rome during the horrific attack.

She had gone to film her upcoming movie House of Gucci when she learnt that her bulldogs had been grabbed and Ryan was injured in the process.

“She was worried about her friend and her dogs. It was a terrible start to her Italian work trip,” the source said about Gaga’s reaction.

Legit.ng earlier revealed that on Wednesday, February 25, unknown assailants left behind one of Gaga’s dogs and made away with two of her pooches.

Police officers said they cannot ascertain if the gunmen who stole the dogs knew they belonged to the wealthy singer as thugs also target French Bulldogs because of their high demand.

They also confirmed that the shooting happened but could not ascertain if it was really robbery or if something else transpired.
