The Nation is reporting that the Imo state House of Assembly has impeached its majority leader, Uche Ogbuagu.

Ogbuagu who represents Ikeduru state constituency was said to have been impeached by a majority vote.

The lawmaker is one of the house members who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after the Supreme Court sacked ex-Governor Emeka Ihedioha from office.
