Nickelodeon actress Jennette McCurdy announced that she will no longer play the role of Sam Puckett on the show.

The 28-year-old stated on her podcast that her history in the acting scene makes her cringe with embarrassment each time she thinks of it.

The US celebrity stated that she is ashamed of the roles she took up in the industry.

To Jennette, her career is not something to boast about. The star revealed on an episode of her podcast Empty Inside:

“My experience with acting is, I’m so ashamed of the parts I’ve done in the past. I resent my career in a lot of ways. I feel so unfulfilled by the roles that I played and felt like it was the cheesiest and embarrassing."

Jennette thinks the best direction for her to take is writing and directing.
