Burna Boy set to perform at the 2021 Grammys premiere ceremony
- The 2021 Grammy Awards pre-show will take place on Sunday, March 14
- Nigerian singer Burna Boy is one of the talented singers who will be performing at the event
- The self-styled African Giant is nominated at the 63rd award show in the Best Global Music Category
- This is the singer's second Grammy nomination after losing to Angelique Kidjo at the 2020 awards
Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu professionally known as Burna Boy will perform at the 2021 Grammy pre-show which will be live-streamed on GRAMMY.com on March 14, Pitchfork reports.
The self-proclaimed African Giant is nominated in the Best Global Music category of the 63rd prestigious award show.
Other nominees in the Best Global Music Category include Tuareg desert rock group Tinariwen, NYC afrobeat outfit Antibalas, Brazilian-American Bebel Gilberto, and British-Indian sitar player Anoushka Shankar.
Talented singer, Jhené Aiko is set to host, and other artistes performing include Lido Pimienta, Poppy, Rufus Wainwright among others.

The 2021 Grammy Awards was originally scheduled to take place in January before it was postponed to March due to the “deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles.”
The prestigious event which was set to take place on Sunday, January 31, will now air on Sunday, March 14, approximately a month and a half later.
In a statement put out on Tuesday, January 5, the Recording Academy said the rescheduling came about "after thoughtful conversations with health experts, the host and artistes" set to perform at the event.

Meanwhile, popular Nigerian rapper, CDQ Olowo, has got people talking on social media after a recent tweet shared by Ijeomadaisy on Instagram about Burna Boy's behaviour.
The entertainer expressed disappointment in Burna for the first time for disrespecting Nigerian football star, Obafemi Martins.
Olowo continued by warning the singer not to let his title, African giant, which he tagged a village title, get into his head and push him to misbehave around people he should not.
