Barcelona captain Lionel Messi is reportedly shopping for an apartment in Paris, the French capital, ahead of his potential bid to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The 33-year-old whose contract with the Catalan giants lapses at the end of the season remains linked with a move away from the club.
He is yet to renew his contract with the club as reports say he will only wait until the season ends before deciding his future.
Argentine outlet OK Diario via Soccer Laduma are claiming that the legend is already looking at real estate in the French capital in the meantime. That is according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda. He said:
"Messi is probing the real estate market, and it is not exactly that of Barcelona.
"He is probing, looking at flats and houses in Paris.
"The PSG players live in three different areas of Paris. Two of them are in exclusive areas within the city and the other option is for him to go to live where Neymar resides from the beginning, which is 15 kilometers from Paris."
And former Barcelona president Joan Laporta has insisted that he is the only person who can persuade Lionel Messi to extend his reign at the club.
Laporta, who is also contesting to become the club's president again believes the Argentine star will exit their club unless he is elected as Josep Bartomeu's successor.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Ivan Rakitic has revealed what he told Lionel Messi during Barcelona's Copa Del Rey triumph over Sevilla at Camp Nou earlier this week.

Both players got a chance to chat during the game which ended 3-0 in favour of the Catalans - a victory that propels them into the final of the championship.
And the midfielder who spent six seasons with the Blaugrana winning 13 titles had the chance to chat with former teammates during the meeting.
