Popular Nigerian socialite, Laura Ikeji, has reacted to news making the rounds of men who destroyed or forcefully collected gifts they gave to their girlfriends after a breakup.
In a video shared on Instagram, Laura shared her thoughts on the matter. According to her, ladies should get a lawyer and sign once they receive gifts from their boyfriends.
According to her, the couple needed to sit down and sign an agreement that the gift belonged to the receiving party forever regardless of how their relationship turns out.

Laura explained further that this move was necessary so as to avoid embarrassing situations of men demolishing houses or seizing cars they bought for their girlfriend during the relationship.
The socialite said that it was a lady’s right to collect gifts but the recent trend of men collecting their gifts back needed urgent solution.
She said that the man needs to sign to say that the gift belongs to the girlfriend forever regardless of what happens.
