Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been ranked the 98th most expensive player in the world according to the latest KPMG report published on the market value of 150 football stars.

The 22-year-old currently holds the status of Africa's most expensive player after his move from Lille to Napoli last summer.

In spite of a fall of €6.8 million on his valuation from December 2020, the Nigerian still ranks higher than the duo of Paul Pogba and Kalidou Koulibaly.

However, Legit.ng earlier reported that ahead of the crucial AFCON qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin slated for March, Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is set to invite FC Lorient of France sensation Terem Moffi to the national team.

The 21-year-old has scored six goals so far this season as Lorient battle to stay on top of the French top-flight.

It was gathered that Rohr watched the left-footed striker, who cost eight million Euros in the summer, in a recent match against Bordeaux.
