Taraji P Henson has opened up about the salary she received for her role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
The veteran US actress shared that she was "gutted" to only take home $40,000 (just over N16.4 million) in the movie, which grossed over $335.8 million (over N127.6 billion).
The superstar earned an Oscar nomination for slaying her role as Queenie in the movie released in 2008. She revealed in a recent interview on the Ladies First With Laura Brown podcast that the studio wouldn't pay her what she was asking for and then "I was gutted."

The Independent reports she revealed that after paying her team, she was only left with $40k. Taraji expressed that she has learnt to stand up for herself following that experience. She said that what she experienced then helped her realise her worth.
