Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid has not really expressed his interest in politics but it appears some of his dedicated fans would love to see him shoot his shot.
Just recently, a lady identified as Lolade on Twitter took to her page, noting that the Smile crooner stands a chance of becoming the country’s president if he decides to contest for office.
The lady tweeted assertively:
"Trust me if Wizkid runs for President he go win."

However, Lolade’s tweet sparked mixed reactions from members of the internet community as many were quick to call her attention to different factors.
A Twitter user who countered Lolade’s position informed her that a large percentage of voting Nigerians are not on Twitter. According to him, there are people who do not even know the music star.

He wrote:
"The real voters are not on Twitter... 50% of the voters don’t even know who’s Wizkid."
Another Twitter user said the singer doesn’t have the resources to run for office.
He said:
"He can't win the chairmanship election in his state...You think he has the resources to run for president? He will be broke before the primaries."
Here’s what #diddyman74 tweeted:
"Young ones sha, that's how we were saying Michael Jackson/ MC Hammer or R. Kelly would win the US Presidential election if they ever decided to contest. Now we know better. They would have failed miserably, just like how Wizkid will fail miserably."
Another follower told Lolade that there is more to politics. He wrote:
"Politics doesn't run that way my sister it's not Twitter it's a sacrifice."
A Twitter user also submitted that the singer should start with a chairmanship position.
He wrote:
"The presidency is too far na... He should start with Chairman first... Make he go contest for Surulere, he kuku popular well for there."
In other news, Legit.ng previously reported that that American rap star, 6lack, spoke about Wizkid’s Made in Lagos album in a post shared on Twitter.
The rapper said the popular Nigerian singer dropped the best music album during the pandemic. Fans reacted to 6lack’s tweet with many Wizkid fans praising him for it.
