Just in: President Buhari holds meeting with Imo governor

The Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma has paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa.
A presidential aide, Femi Adesina, disclosed via a Facebook post that the visit took place on Tuesday, February 23.
At the time of publishing this report, the purpose of the visit had not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, Governor Hope Uzodimma has spoken about the presence of operatives of the Nigerian Army in Orlu community of the state.
During a press briefing on Friday, February 19, the governor said he invited soldiers to Imo state to restore normalcy and set the affected community on the path of peace again.
Uzodinma, who spoke through the state's attorney general and commissioner for justice, Barr Cyprain Akaolisa, said the government will no longer tolerate the activities of the Nnamdi Kanu-led proscribed group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), The Nation reported.
Legit.ng recalls that joint military operation by the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force (NAF), and the police have been launched against suspected members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) set up by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) in Imo state.
This Day reported that the 34 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Obinze confirmed that the offensive was being carried out in Orsu local government area of the state and its neighbouring communities.
A spokesperson for the brigade, Lieutenant Babatunde Zubairu, told the publication that the operation was launched following an intelligence report of the IPOB security network had established illegal camps in some areas.
In another news, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), the youth wing of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has spoken on the presence of military men in Orlu town in Imo state.
PR Nigeria reports that the OYC's national president, Igboayaka O. Igboayaka described as entirely false and misleading some media reports of a military bombardment and killing of inhabitants in Orlu town.
The OYC president made this known in a statement signed by his media aide, Chukwuemeka Chimerue.
