To make Nigeria better, youths, corporate professionals and religious leaders have been asked to join active politics.
The call was made by Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El-Rufa who asked youths and others to contribute their quota and make the country work.
He disclosed this in Victoria Island in Lagos at ‘Radio Now’s Urgent Conversation’ with the theme, ‘The Fierce Urgency Of Now: Tactics And Strategies To Pull Nigeria From The Brink’.

Going further, he also insisted that protests or activism will not take anybody anywhere.
He also urged good people to offer themselves for public service and suffer the indignity that "we all suffer every day".
He consequently urged Nigerians to be part of the selection process of those that offer themselves for public service and politics.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that El-Rufai on Monday, February 15, raised an alarm that bandits now target soldiers.
In a report by The Nation, El-Rufai noted that the bandits in the northwest attack military camps and ambush troops on patrol.
He made the disclosure in a meeting concerning security challenges confronting the northwest with the newly appointed service chiefs, governors from the region, religious leaders, and traditional rulers.
In another report, the Good Governance Index (GGI) has said that poor governance, lack of accountability at the state and local government level is responsible for the growing insecurity in some parts of Nigeria.
From the report seen by Legit.ng, it was gathered that research conducted by GGI shows that poverty is more prevalent in local areas thereby causing some level of insecurity.
At the launch of the report by GGI's special rapporteur, Thomas Uzah, in Abuja, the group said that majority of the security challenges experienced in various communities across the country is due to the failure to hold public officers accountable.
