Nollywood movie star, Mercy Aigbe, has joined millions of Nigerians and Africans around the world who have extended hearty congratulations to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on becoming the first female and first African to head the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
Aigbe took to her official page on Instagram with a post dedicated to the new WTO director-general. According to her, Okonjo-Iweala’s appointment is a big win for the country as a whole and citizens of Nigeria.
The actress added that she could not be prouder of what the former Nigerian minister of finance has accomplished.
Also coming along with Aigbe’s post is a photo showing Okonjo-Iweala’s face gracing several billboards in the US.
