Rapper Naira Marley may have moved on from his cancelled Valentine’s Day show in Cameroon but it appears some of his fans and supporters in the country are still speaking up on his behalf.
Just recently, an individual identified as Chi_Cherito called out Cameroonian artistes in a lengthy video shared on his Instagram page.
Chi_Cherito lambasted English speaking Cameroonians and the hate that has been going on in their 'small' music industry.
According to him, those who were behind the rapper’s show getting cancelled on the basis that his music is a bad influence on youths are equally not the best models when it comes to morals.
A displeased Chi_Cherito went on to call names of Cameroonian artistes who sing about women and include other vulgar lyrics in their songs. According to him, Naira Marley does not come close to being a negative influence as much as the people he mentioned.
The young man added that Cameroonian artistes who are still struggling to become successful should have rallied around the Nigerian rapper and used the opportunity to network with him instead of working behind the scenes to get his show cancelled.
