People all over the world celebrate, as special, the day of their birth, with some throwing lavish parties, while others would rather use that as an opportunity to give to the less privilege.
And there are those that don't do anything beyond celebrating themselves with posts on social media.
An old woman has been treated to a birthday gesture that made her celebration of a new age memorable.
The Ohio-based lady identified as Elestine Lawson, according to Blacknews, recently celebrated her 107th birthday and was surprised by a local flower shop with 107 roses.
Black Culture News reports that the centenarian, and her family, received at their door 107 roses from Battiste LaFleur Galleria, a florist shop in Columbia.
She would, reportedly, learn later on that the surprise was planned by some members of her church.
As to the secret to her longevity of life, Elestine said that her love and faith have always kept her going.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported how a Nigerian woman gifted her mother a house to celebrate her birthday.
The elderly woman celebrated her birthday recently and her children surprised her with a new house to mark her new age.
One of her children called Modupeola Sanni Jetposh shared the lovely news on her Facebook page. Jetposh also shared beautiful photos of the house online.
Describing her mum as a true mother, the young lady congratulated her mum on her new age. According to her, she's the most amazing woman she has ever seen. She also noted that she is happy to be her daughter while expressing deep love for her.
