Gernot Rohr who is the gaffer of the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, February 12, inspected the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos ahead of Nigeria's 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Lesotho.
After 10 years when the Super Eagles last played at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Gernot Rohr and his wards will be facing Lesotho next month.
Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission Sola Aiyepeku together with the NFF First Vice President Seyi Akinwumi led the German coach to the stadium for inspection.
According to reports, Gernot Rohr was pleased after the inspection as Lagos footballer lovers will be waiting to see the Super Eagles play.
Before facing Lesotho, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will first tackle Benin Republic on March 22 before the big tie in Lagos on the 30th of next month.
In their last two qualifying games, the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to beat Sierra Leone.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Ahmed Musa's proposed transfer to Premier League giants West Brom was cancelled by the club's chiefs after training with them for almost one week.
The Super Eagles captain was said to have travelled to the United Kingdom last week where he was accessed by West Brom's coaching crew who are looking for an agile striker.
Since leaving Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr last year October, Ahmed Musa has been looking for ways to return to the Premier League after his unsuccessful stint at Leicester City.
At Leicester City, Ahmed Musa managed to play 33 games for the Foxes which included six Champions League appearances before he left the side scoring five goals.
Being the captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Ahmed Musa needs active playing time for him to maintain his position at the Nigerian national team.
Nigeria will also be having AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho which take place at the end of March this year.
