Reports in Italy claim that the Blues Chelsea have made contact with the Nerazzurri over a move for the 28-year-old.
Inter boss Antonio Conte has been a long-term admirer of Jorginho and Chelsea believed the 29-year-old has more value than Eriksen.
The west London club are now demanding for an extra £18million from the Italian club to secure the deal.
Jorginho who joined Chelsea from Napoli in 2018 under former boss Maurizio Sarri has scored five goals and made one assist in 15 appearances in all competitions this season.
New manager Thomas Tuchel is understood to be keen to extend Jorginho's contract at the club until 2025.
However, Eriksen could replace the Italian midfielder at Stamford Bridge next season after failing to live up to expectation.
The former Ajax star has only made five starts this season but Conte is reportedly keen on keeping hold of him at the San Siro.
Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City are considering signing him on loan but will not match his £300,000-per-week wages.
