Budding Nigerian singer, Sanni Wasiu Goriola, made headlines in October 2020 after his ex-girlfriend, Okeoghene Iyomatrie, accused him of being physically violent to her on different occasions.

Photos of her bruises made the rounds on social media and sparked outrage with many people calling for the singer’s head.

After a while, not a lot was heard about the case until recently when he was remanded in Ikoyi Prison.

In the poll conducted by Legit.ng, 63.3% voted that they felt his career would be damaged by the scandal while 15.7% voted in the negative. 16.5% of readers were not sure if he would face the consequences or not and voted for the ‘maybe’ option.

Lil Frosh’s ordeal started in October 2020 after his girlfriend’s manager, Michael, called the rapper out on social media and accused him of mistreating the young lady.

This was followed by the girl in question also taking to Instagram to share her side of the story and the horrible treatments she allegedly received from the singer during the period of 10 months that they dated.

Pictures of the lady’s swollen face surfaced in the online community and many Nigerians called out the music star who had barely just started his career in the entertainment industry.

Similarly, his boss at the time, Davido, was forced to terminate his contract with DMW; stating that the record label does not condone any form of domestic violence against women.
