Ex-President Donald Trump has resigned from the Screen Actors Guild. According to a letter he sent to the union, the ex-president said it has done nothing for him.

Trump, who had been a member of the Screen Actors Guild — American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) for 32 years, was recently summoned to face a disciplinary committee over the siege that happened at the capitol on Wednesday, January 6.

ABC News reported that the SAG-AFTRA said Trump may have caused the violence at the capitol through a campaign of misinformation.

Sadly, some members of the union who are journalists were affected by the incident.

In a letter addressed to the president of the union, Trump stated that he doesn't care if his membership is revoked. He noted that he doesn't want to be associated with them again.

Trump said he has helped the cable television business by providing thousands of jobs but the organisation has done nothing for him.
