Defensive duo Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies have since linked up with Klopp at Anfield, with the former joining on loan from Schalke 04.

But with the English top-flight seeing some new arrivals, there were also a number of departures, with Mesut Ozil perhaps the biggest of the window.

The midfielder finally ended his nightmare stay with the Gunners with a switch to Turkish giants Fenerbahce who he signed for after he agreed to terminate his contract with the north Londoners.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Liverpool on Sunday, January 31, secured a 3-1 vital win over West Ham United to resuscitate their hopes of retaining the Premier League crown.

The Reds had suffered an unprecedented slump in recent days to drop off from the top.

However, a comfortable win at London Stadium was enough to send them to third with 40 points, four behind leaders Man City who salvaged a 1-0 hard-fought win over relegation-threatened Sheffield United.
