Man United are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup after stunning Liverpool 3-2 in a thrilling fourth round tie played on Sunday evening, January 24, at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rung a couple of changes of the FA Cup encounter, with Mason Greenwood, Scott McTominay, Dean Henderson and Donny van de Beek getting a nod.

But it was Liverpool who rattled the net first through Mohamed Salah who broke the deadlock in the 19th minute after Roberto Firmino slide in for the Egyptian to slot home over Henderson.

However, the Reds lead did not last long as United drew level seven minutes later via Greenwood after he was set up by Marcus Rashford with a brilliant cross.

The second half of the match saw both sides kick off hostilities in earnest, but it was United who took the lead after Greenwood reciprocated the favour for the Englishman to finish confidently in the 48th minute.

However, Salah restored parity for the visitors nearly 10 minutes later after a defending gaffee involving Harry Maguire.

It was the introduction of Bruno Fernandes that eventually made all the difference, with the Portuguese playmaker coming off the bench to score the match winner.

Edinson Cavani had a chance to put the game to bed in dying minutes but his effort only rattled the post as the tie ended in United's favour.
