Nollywood film star Didi Ekanem recently took to her Instastory channel with an interesting take about friendship and business.

The actress started off by throwing a question to her viewers and asking the business owners among them if they know the reason why they get more support from strangers than those they know.

According to her, it is simply because such people have a hard time accepting that others have moved on to a better place in life while they remain in the same position.

Ekanem went on to add that there are friends who do not support business owners simply because they don’t want them to get better.

"It is because they don’t want you to be better than them, they don’t want to be a part of your growth, they don’t want you to be successful, that is the reason why they are not supporting your business."

Speaking further, the actress noted that people should understand that they do not need the support of friends to become successful in life.

The actress and designer revealed she used to be bullied as a young girl for being curvy. In a series of Instastory posts, the movie star stated that being curvy back then wasn’t considered pretty and all her slim friends were the standard of beauty.
