Man United fans have been sent into a meltdown after Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to drop have a huge transfer hint on Instagram.
Ronaldo, who is facing an uncertain future at Juventus, has been widely linked with a transfer move away from the Serie A giants.
Even at 35 years of age, the Portuguese talisman is still going strong, shining for Juve amid a difficult season under Andrea Pirlo.
Be that as it may, the Italian side are thought to be keen to offload Ronaldo, with Express UK reporting they may have to let him go at the end of the season.
The decision is in response to a financial crisis the Old Lady have had to contend with occasioned by the global outbreak of coronavirus.
The Allianz |Stadium outfit contend selling the former Real Madrid star will ease their wage bill and help them balance their book of accounts.
Amid this development, Ronaldo has moved to follow Man United on Instagram, sparking rumours he is plotting a sensational return to the club.
The Portuguese joined United in 2003 from Sporting Lisbon, with the club beating rivals Liverpool to his services.
The forward went on to enjoy a six-year spell with the Old Trafford dwellers, winning three Premier League titles and the Champions League with them.
He would later dump them in 2009 to complete a then world record switch to the La Liga with Real Madrid.
But more than a decade after his exit, United fans contend Ronaldo could be preparing for one final dance with them - at least if his latest Instagram activity is anything to go by.
“Cristiano Ronaldo has just followed Manchester United on Instagram. Bring him home,” noted one supporter.
“Ronaldo follow Manchester United. The last dance?” probed a second.
“Cristiano Ronaldo just followed Manchester United on Instagram. He doesn't follow Real Madrid btw. The last dance,” declared a third.
