Former Senate spokesperson, Adedayo Adeyeye, has said that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has what it takes to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
In an exclusive interview with Punch, the former senator said that Tinubu would perform creditably well if he becomes Nigeria's president after Buhari.
Legit.ng gathered that while speaking on Tinubu's chances in 2023, Adeyeye emphasised that the north would give their full support to ensure the APC's leader's presidential ambition is achieved.
He said:
"Yes, I believe so because most Nigerians are looking for a leader that can really change things in the country for the better, that can really move the country forward and would really solve the myriad of problems which are confronting us as a nation."
Speaking on why he believes Tinubu is the best the southwest could offer in 2023, Adeyeye said the former Lagos state governor has paid his dues in Nigeria's political space.
He said Tinubu's government ensured fairness and equity in Lagos for everybody, stressing that he even brought people from other ethnic groups to governance in Lagos.

It was reported that they advised All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders to honour the pre-2015 general election agreement to ensure fairness and equity.
