Veteran Nollywood actor Jim Lawson Maduike passes on

- The news of Jim Lawson Maduike's death has since surfaced online

The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning yet again with the reported passing of one of its talented stars, Jim Lawson Maduike.

Several social media users have come online to express shock at the death of the movie icon. Maduike was reported to have passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2020.

The Imo state actor was said to have died after he complained of body pains shortly before his death around 12 noon.

Meanwhile, barely a day after the Nigerian film industry was thrown into shock over the death of Nollywood actress, Folake Aremu, her older brother, Steve Onishola.

According to PM News, Onishola the Technical Director of Kwara Falcons Basketball Club of Ilorin died after a brief illness at the age of 71 on Thursday, January 7, 2021.

Recall earlier, Legit.ng published the news of Aremu also known as Orisabunmi's death.

The report of her demise made the rounds on social media on January 6, 2021. However, the cause of her death was not revealed but it was said that she had died during the night.

In in a similar story, Nollywood actress Iyao Ojo lost her dearly beloved mother, Olubunmi Victoria Fetuga, on November 21 and laid her to rest on Friday, November 27.
