Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target for Paris Saint Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine-born tactician took over from Thomas Tuchel after his appointment with the French club earlier this year.

He got his reign at the Parc Des Princes started with a 1-1 draw with St Etienne during the mid-week as they currently trail Lyon by three points.

However, the 48-year-old is hoping to add quality to his attack and his countryman fits the bill of the player he wants.

Aguero is the Citizens' all-time highest goals scorer but his deal with the former Premier League champions expires this summer.

The 32-year-old could sign a pre-contract agreement with a European club now, ahead of a free transfer later this year.

Though Man City and Aguero are in talks about an extension but nothing concrete has happened just yet according to Sport Bible. Pochettino is desperate to take his fellow Argentine to PSG.

A strikeforce containing Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Aguero would certainly be among the most terrifying in Europe.

The Ligue 1 champions already have an Argentine goalscorer in Mauro Icardi, but he's had problems with injuries this season and wasn't the first choice under Pochettino's predecessor Thomas Tuchel.
