Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state would know his fate on Saturday, January 9, over the allegation of forgery suit filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against him.

Vanguard reports that the Federal High Court, Abuja has fixed January 9, to deliver judgment in the alleged certificate forgery suit.

Legit.ng gathered that Justice Ahmed Mohammed had, on January 6, adjourned proceedings until January 7, for parties to adopt their final written addresses as their brief of arguments in the suit.

The parties are the APC, William Edobor, Obaseki, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the University of Ibadan finally cleared the controversy surrounding the credentials of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state after the institution presented his certificate to the court.
